Leap of Youth Series | Under Foreign Skies

Withdrawn and insecure, a teenage girl feels trapped by poverty and an unfair society when her grades prevent her from progressing at school. Believing that studying abroad will change everything, she runs away after a family argument. Eventually, her family finds a way to send her overseas.

But boarding school is far from the fresh start she imagined. In an unfamiliar country, can she find the confidence to face her difficulties and build new friendships?

Drawing on the author’s own experiences of studying in Britain, this thoughtful coming-of-age story explores belonging, resilience and learning to believe in yourself.
